Born and raised in Lewisporte, this is Perry’s third term on Council where he is currently Chair of the Recreation Committee, a member of the Economic Development Committee, and the Lewisporte Community College Inc Board of Governors, the operational body of Dietrac Technical Institute.
Perry is currently in the private sector but has previously held supervisory/management positions within the Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Governments.
He is the Past President of the Lewisporte and Area Chamber of Commerce, a former member of the Atlantic Marine Trades Association, Lewisporte Marina Administrative Authority, Regional Fisheries and Marine Centre (Marine Institute) Advisory Committee, School Council, Boy Scouts Canada (Beaver/Cub Leader), and Lewisporte & Area Youth Committee.
Perry holds a Bachelor of Science (honours), and a Master of Applied Science and Environmental Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
