Deep Sea Port

“Gateway to the North”

Our Port Shaped Our Past ~ Our Port Can Shape Your Future

The Town of Lewisporte is centrally located on the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland. Located in scenic Notre Dame Bay, it has been referred to as the “Caribbean of the North” because of its Deepwater bays and abundance of islands.

Safe, connected, and affordable, Lewisporte has a broad range of cultural and recreation activities. Our town lies along one of the finest sailing bays on the island and has the largest Marina in Atlantic Canada. Lewisporte is strategically located for domestic and global business opportunities and is an important hub for the region. This thriving town is situated 11kms north of the Trans Canada Highways, just 30 minutes east to Gander International Airport and 30 minutes west to Grand Falls-Windsor. Lewisporte is the point of origin for both passenger services and freight shipments between Newfoundland and the coast of Labrador. This is reflected in the Town’s slogan, “Gateway to the North.”
