Garbage Collection, Composting, and Recycling

Effective Tuesday November 19th, 2024, that Central Newfoundland Waste Management (CNWM) will commence collecting residential waste in our community. All households will continue to have weekly curbside residential waste collection.

CNWM has advised that collection will be scheduled over three days per week – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Collection days falling on a statutory holiday will be rescheduled for the next workday with CNWM adding an extra truck to route if required.

CNWM will not remove/collect waste from garbage boxes, freezers, refrigerators, drums, or similar vessels. All waste must be placed at the curb on your collection day, covered or enclosed. Residents may cover with blankets, tarps, nets, or use a portable bin (plastic or metal) suitable for waste.

If your waste was not collected on your scheduled collection day, please contact CNWM at 709-653-2900.

Should you have any questions on these requirements or like further information please go to the CNWM website – www.CNWMC.com
